Survivor Samoa was back after a weeks vacation and although it started off rather slow, a Shambo sleep sequence and Russell scramble saved the day. Returning from camp after voting off Laura, John was not sitting pretty with old Galu as Monica no longer trusted him. We didn't really hear what Dave or Brett said about the situation, but who are they anyway? Shambo was happy at least but that would soon change for her as both natural and supernatural things would make her VERY cranky.

The next morning everyone was excited as it was time for the Survivor auction. Sometimes these can be fun, but tonight's was a bit of a bore. They didn't have many amazing rewards, no visit from home and no cranky man upset because he didn't get a cookie that he shared with everyone. Maybe that will happen (again) next season. In the end Natalie won a PB&J sandwich and a shower, Monica won a whole chicken, Shambo won some fish guts, Mick won a hamburger spread, John won a clue to the idol and a pie he chose to share with nobody and Jaison won a $500 (it was the max bet) advantage in the next immunity challenge. Jaison wasn't too happy about giving up all his money but it would surely pay off in the long run.

The day following the reward challenge was a bit... strange. John went hidden idol hunting right away and found the location where the idol once was. He knew that was the case as it was obvious someone where there before him. He would approach Russell about it later and would be his downfall. The rest of the segment featured Shambo as she PMSed, talked to chickens, fought with Dave and had a crazy dream. It all started when Shambo found out they would be eating the chickens for lunch. She became friends with them and let them know what was going to happen. She couldn't do the actual killing but didn't care about cooking them.

Nobody could tell Shambo how to cook the chickens. They were going to be boiled and that's it. She was PMSing and apparently Dave didn't know that because he wanted a say in how "his" chickens were made. The two quarreled and Shambo ended up winning. Don't know how good the chickens were though as we didn't actually see them eating them! That night the strangest moment of Survivor history happened. The editors did an AMAZING job bringing in some Blair Witch for us as we saw flashes of Shambo sleeping, the dead chickens and other random creepy things while Shambo discuss her clairvoyance. She had a dream that Dave was voted off and so be it he would be! Well if things went her way at least. Russell bought into it and jumped on the chance for Dave to go and things seemed to be set in stone.

When it come to the immunity challenge it was a simple yet tough one: endurance: All they had to do was hold onto a rope that was connected to a wooden pole. Let the pole and you're out of the challenge. Jaison's advantage was that he could move up the pole two knots at any point and did so around the fourth move. Shambo was out first followed immediately by Russell? Not sure if that was on purpose though and then Monica, Brett and Mick fell out when they reached the end of the rope. John opted out fairly easily, too bad for him, leaving Natalie to fall in third place and Jaison to battle Dave for immunity. Jaison struggled the most but Dave's grip slipped, giving Jaison the immunity win and Dave a ticket home. Or so Shambo thought.

Before Tribal Council while Shambo slept and probably had another crazy dream, the rest scrambled. John and Russell made a deal that if he voted for Laura then a Foa Foa would go next, so he wanted Mick gone. He also told Russell he knew he had the idol and because of that information, John had to go. Russell then went to Mick, who was set on Dave going, and told him the news. Mick then went to Jaison who didn't agree with blowing off Shambo as he knew doing so would anger her, and lose her vote for their foursome. Russell didn't care though and told Dave that he's going unless he gets Monica and Brett to vote for John to go. It wasn't clear if John or Dave was going and Tribal Council didn't clear things up either.

There Jeff prodded the game and basically screamed at Shambo for not believing that people would strategize. He also asked Mick and Dave if they would be shocked if they went, both said no but John had the liner that made things amazing. He he of course the 'two names weren't going to be shocked when they left' but in the end John got the shock of his life, along with Shambo, as he was the one voted off in a fourth blind side. This season had been amazing towards the end but if Russell keeps dominating the game he'll steam roll an easy win going into All Stars 2. He's really the only one playing as of now and unless Foa Foa turns on him, Russell will easily win the game.
