Survivor Samoa is down to to the finale and with Foa Foa still on top we are surely in for an underdog season. Following the unsurprising vote off of
Monica, Brett realized that he had to start sucking up to the old Foa Foa to stay in the game. Wow he actually realized he had to do something? It's
about time! Russell also talked about controlling everyone and wanting Brett out, since he can easily win. The next morning was about Brett. again.
Wow he's really making up for lost time! He and Natalie bonded over the Bible versus that Brett memorized and the two became the "Prayer Warriors",
according to Natalie. Seriously, it must come with the name.
The reward challenge was just one big game of Ker-Plunk. They broke into two
groups where Natalie picked Brett and Mick while Russell picked Jaison and got Shambo. They had to remove one of several ropes that were holding up
several coconuts. The first time to get 100 coconuts to drop would be out of the challenge and the other would go on a feast and native meeting
reward. Natalie's group was winning out for several rounds, until one little string was pulled where Natalie brought 58 (Shambo's exact guess)
coconuts down. That sent them behind and sent Russell, Shambo and Jaison off to the reward.
While at the beach the tree losers decided to bond
and have a reward all by themselves. They spent time on the beach, looking for snails and just "bonding". AKA Brett trying to get them to keep him.
Russell basically freaked about it though and told Jaison and Shambo that they were creating an alliance, since Natalie chose Brett first. The two
bought on easily and there they formed a final three with either Brett or Mick going next round. Oh they also had some fun eating and meeting the
locals and Shambo got more whacked out then normal. Must have been the stuff they were making her drink.
With all back at camp Russell made
sure that Natalie was still with him and she was, she couldn't choose her heart over her head. Russell also did some damage control by telling Mick
that Brett was going no matter what. Little did Russell know though, Mick was on to him. The immunity challenge dealt with counting things, running
back to a stand, remembering the number then using that to open a lock. Sounds like a Big Brother challenge, just minus the suck factor that is being
eliminated for a wrong answer. In the end it once again came down to Mick and Brett with Brett (sigh) winning. That kept Brett in the game until final
five and closer to a win he doesn't deserve.
Back at camp it was time to scramble and Jaison wanted Shambo gone. It's the first time Russell
didn't have a say, since Jaison said he was voting her and wasn't talking about it. Seconds later Shambo walked up to ask what he said, and Russell
told her that he's voting for Mick and that's it. She didn't buy it, Mick didn't buy the fact that the vote was for Shambo either so it wasn't
too clear who would go. Jeff spent most of the Tribal Council pointing out the fact that Brett is all by himself and will only stay in if he wins the
next two/three immunity challenges. Shambo was the voted out, sadly, leaving the entire Foa Foa post-merge and Brett. I kind of want Brett to go home
soon, simply because he's done nothing on camera and because of that he'd be a boring winner. I kind of believe Russell deserves to win but I just
don't see it happening thanks to a bitter jury.
