Ghost Adventures usually investigates large structures with notable hauntings. The latest though had very few haunting and more fun as we saw more of
the guys then we did of the paranormal. Execution Island in the New York Sound was their rather not-haunted location and featured a lot of history.
The location was used during the Revolutionary War to drowned several people. They would chain them to the island's rocky outside during low tide and
as the tide rose the men would suffocate under the water. There was also talk of a murderer dumping bodies at the location and I have a feeling the
back history is what drew the guys to the location rather then the actual ghosts.
Few people talked about their experiences. One women said
there is a chance they would find paranormal activity simply because of all the death there, while one of the light house keepers stated that he was
held down by a pressure several times. There was another man who just felt a bad presence there, even though he never saw or heard anything. That was
all we got. A ton of history and very little locals discussing their experiences. We did however get to see the guys fishing and making some dinner.
I'm sure that was only there because they had little to show of actual ghost hunting because I can sum all of that up in one small
paragraph.
Ok so here is what actually happened, paranormal wise. The guys started off with some great results. They used the Ghost Goggles
which spirits can supposedly manipulate to create words. Remote and camera were first said followed by drink. They all got spooked after that, their
EMF was spiking and the guys were having goose bumps like crazy. Then it said 'mercury' and Zak quickly rushed the guys up stairs where something
had the words "Caution Mercury Poison" painted on it. Now that is a bit creepy and they believed it had something to do with either the mercury
going into the water source and people dieing, or someone killed themselves with it. That's ALL they caught the entire night. Nothing else, nothing
more. Kind of a bummer, I'm sure they weren't happy about it but at least they didn't fabricate something out of nothing.
